Efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly – with the MH2X series condensing units from Rivacold, a modern logistics center in Düsseldorf is relying on cooling technology with a future. Operated with the natural refrigerant R744 (CO₂), the systems offer a powerful and climate-friendly solution for cooling extensive storage areas. The system is complemented by ten high-performance evaporators from Rivacold.
The project team from specialist company Zimmer & Hälbig GmbH in Bielefeld made a conscious decision to use CO₂ as the refrigerant. R744 not only meets the highest ecological requirements, but can also be used in the long term regardless of the restrictions of the EU F-Gas Regulation – without any bans or additional obligations. With a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 1, CO₂ offers a future-proof and economical alternative to expensive synthetic substitute refrigerants.
