From September 9 to 13, 2024, the third International Sustainability Summer School (i3s) invites students from all over the world to Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) for a creative exchange.
40 students from 13 countries, including Burkina Faso, Cameroon, France, Germany, Greece, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, Romania, Switzerland, Turkey, Uganda and Vietnam, will take part in diverse discussions, explore key sustainability topics and actively contribute to a greener future.
Under the motto “Sustainable Societies”, the participants deal with a wide range of topics that are essential for understanding and combating environmental problems.
The curriculum ranges from life cycle assessment, renewable energy and refrigeration to water management and electric vehicles, providing a comprehensive introduction to sustainable technologies and practices.
During the week, students participate in lectures, field trips and hands-on activities.
A special feature of the i3s is its emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
Bringing together students from different nationalities, genders and academic backgrounds creates a dynamic learning environment where different perspectives are valued and encouraged.
Participants are invited to contribute their ideas and views, leading to enriching discussions that generate new insights and solutions.
Rivacold is proud to financially support this great program, ensuring that all students, regardless of their financial situation, can participate in i3s.
